Job Summary:
Provides direct nursing care to an assigned group of patients using the nursing process.
Ensures care is delivered in a safe, effective, timely, patient-centered, efficient, and equitable manner.
Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents patient care and responses.
Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care.
Follows and documents appropriate clinical protocols and standards of care.
Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting per facility policy.
Identifies and addresses patient and family education needs beginning at admission and continuing through discharge.
Supervises LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel, assuming clinical oversight responsibilities.
Completes required education, training, and competency evaluations specific to patient population, procedures, and protocols.
Required:
Minimum of 2 years of current experience in the specified specialty.
Preferred:
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
